"Marco's Mayor" Herb Savage, an architect from the days of the Island's early development received the Golden Eagle award Monday after he believed he was just to lead the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance. After winning the award, Savage and his wife, Emily, led the approximate 100 or more people in the council chambers in his classic style by singing God Bless America.
