A 17-ton capacity crane tips from a seawall construction barge at about 4 a.m. on Sunday falling into a Marco Island canal and crashing into a neighboring, residential boat dock and bringing the barge into the water with it. Contractors spent all day, using two 70-ton capacity cranes attempting to correct the vessel and fallen crane, which blocked the canal and spilled an unknown amount of oil and fuel into the waterway located along Sea Court.
