The artificial reef, serving as an underwater memorial, placed by Poseidon's Garden in March was once in a desert-like portion of the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico off Sanibel Island. About three months later, the reef is swarming with life. Matt Blaisdell, owner of Poseidon's Garden, wants BP to duplicate that creation of life to mitigate the marine life lost due to the ongoing Deepwater Horizon oil gusher catastrophe.
