City Manager Steve Thompson responds to resident Bob Glaub's accusation that Thompson misled residents about the expense of using their septic tanks as cisterns in order to save water and money on water bills. Thompson said Marco could show a savings of 500,000 gallons of water if about 25 residents agreed to convert their septic tanks to cisterns for watering their lawns with rainwater. A grant up to $75,000 or $500 per household may be available.
