Obituary

Anthony (Butch) Graham was born in Fayetteville, NC, on December 23, 1948. After two years of battling liver disease and other health issues, he died on September 15, 2022. He put up a good fight, and now he is in a much better place, heaven. Raised in Fayetteville by his beloved Grandmother, he moved to Naples when he was 14 and lived with his mother, Alma Beatty, in Immokalee. Basketball at Immokalee High School was his favorite sport and he excelled on the varsity team. After graduating from high school, he was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam (1969-1970) as a radio operator and soldier. When he was honorably discharged in 1970, he received the Bronze Star and the rank of Sergeant. He was proud to be a Veteran. Married to Debbie Graham for 48 years, they had two sons, Joshua Mack Graham and Daniel Mack Graham. Both boys loved sports and played soccer, basketball and baseball and their Dad coached them right up until they started high school. Butch worked as a carpenter for many years and taught his sons how to fix things and build things. Their favorite thing to do though was to go fishing. Many memories were made while out on the boat or fishing on the beach. Butch worked for the Collier County Public Schools in the maintenance department and retired after 15 years. He continued to use his carpentry skills and he was Mr. Fixit as he knew how to fix just about anything! After many years, Butch became a Christian. He asked Jesus to be his Lord and Savior. His heart was forever changed to know God more and to follow Him. Butch is in heaven where there is no more pain, just the joy of being with the Lord. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16 Butch is survived by his wife, Debbie, sons, Joshua, Daniel (Jennifer) and grandkids, Olivia and Ryder. The celebration of Butch’s life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 2 pm, at Center Point Community Church, 6590 Golden Gate Parkway, Naples, FL 34105.
