“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…” Yes, that’s right! We love Christmas at the Bargain Basket so much that we’ve decided to celebrate it twice a year! Come out Monday, July 24, through Saturday, July 29, and join us in our Winter Wonderland Celebration. As always you will find your perfect treasure at the lowest prices. Share the Christmas spirit by bringing in canned goods to help support My Daily Bread and you’ll get a $3 gift certificate to use in the Bargain Basket that day.

2. Science Saturday

Science Saturdays provide an opportunity for families to spend the day at the Environmental Learning Center enjoying programs, labs and activities centered on a different science theme. From 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center, 300 Tower Road, Naples. Registration is not required. Regular admission fees are $5 for adults, $3 for kids 6 to 12 and free for Friends of Rookery Bay members and children under age 6. A food truck will be on site. 3. Boating safety course

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary (USCG Aux), Flotilla 95, Marco Island announces a summer session of the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) approved Boating Skills and Seamanship (BS&S) the most comprehensive basic boating instruction offered. The class is being held in July, on Mondays and Thursdays from 7 until 9:30 p.m., and includes a section on Florida specific boating laws and regulations. Upon satisfactory completion of the course, the student will qualify to receive a Florida issued Boater Safety Identification Card (FBSIC).
