3 To Do: Oldest area charity golf tournament returns

1. This weekend: Eagle Open

The oldest area golf tournament will be played once more at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 2, Rookery at Marco, 3433 Club Center Blvd., Naples.

Over the years more than $500,000 has been raised through the event. Proceeds go through the Marco Island Rotary Club and the Marco Island Sunrise Rotary Club for local charities.

To participate, $125 per player, $500 per foursome. Includes registration, continental breakfast, green fees, cart, tournament awards and drawings, lunch, refreshments and souvenir bag.

Proper dress required, collared shirt, no denim, no cargo pants.

2. Wednesday: Happy Hour for Hope

From 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Old Marco Pub and Restaurant, 1105 Bald Eagle Drive, Marco Island.

Admission is $20. Happy Hours for Hope are fundraisers for Marco Island’s Meals of Hope. The $20 admission fee helps the organization buy food for its packaging event in November.

3. Camp Mackle begins Friday

The City of Marco Island Parks and Recreation Department is taking registration currently, for Camp Mackle 2018.

Arts and crafts are a big part of Camp Mackle. Here, Madison Taylor concentrates on an art project.

Camp Mackle is a summer camp program for children entering first grade through fifth grade. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Camp Mackle will begin Friday, June 1 and end on Aug. 14. Camp Stellar is the summer camp for youth 6th through 8th grades.
