Green Infrastructure for Coastal Resilience
A workshop to learn how green infrastructure can play a critical role in making South Florida’s coastal communities more resilient to natural hazards such as hurricanes and sea level rise. Through group discussions, activities, and presentations featuring green infrastructure projects from South Florida, participants will learn what they can do to support green infrastructure implementation in their coastal communities. We recommend a ratio of no more than 3 kids per adult to ensure a safe and pleasurable experience. Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and is located at 300 Tower Road, one mile south of the intersection of US41 and Collier Boulevard. Kid’s dolphin watch sightseeing cruise
10 a.m. Saturdays, Pure Florida Naples at Tin City, 1200 Fifth Ave. S., Naples. The 1.5-hour children’s cruise provides an entertaining environment for young ones to learn about the Southwest Florida environment and to observe the variety of wildlife present on the waters, such as dolphins, pelicans, eagles and many other animals.
