1. Saturday: Hurricane preparedness event

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at Lowe’s, 12730 U.S. 41 E., Naples.

It's hurricane season again and now is the time to get your hurricane supplies and tips on how to prepare your home, family and pets.

Preparing for the arrival of a hurricane.

The Humane Society of Naples will be on-site with some adoptable pets to talk about safety for your pets.

2. Community fun day

Community fun day for all ages from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., Saturday, June 2.

Live music, food, games, intro to yoga, prizes, bounce house, crafts, raffle, free bingo, and more at Marco Lutheran Church, 525 N. Collier Boulevard, Marco Island.

3. This weekend: Eagle Open

The oldest area golf tournament will be played once more at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 2, Rookery at Marco, 3433 Club Center Blvd., Naples.

Over the years more than $500,000 has been raised through the event. Proceeds go through the Marco Island Rotary Club and the Marco Island Sunrise Rotary Club for local charities.

To participate, $125 per player, $500 per foursome. Includes registration, continental breakfast, green fees, cart, tournament awards and drawings, lunch, refreshments and souvenir bag.

Proper dress required, collared shirt, no denim, no cargo pants.
