1. Saturday: World Giraffe Day at Naples Zoo

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Naples Zoo, 1590 Goodlette Road, Naples.

Event features a giraffe-focused scavenger with one prize of a family or grandparent Naples Zoo membership. Guests can also purchase giraffe cut-outs for a $1 donation to giraffe conservation and then write a thank you note to the rangers in Africa who protect giraffes and Giraffe Conservation Foundation will deliver it to them.

2. Taking reservations now: Marco Presbyterian VBS

Marco Presbyterian Church’s vacation Bible school is 6 until 8 p.m., July 30 through Aug. 3. Dinner is served at 5:30.

Special guests: Sports World Ministries, retired NFL players Steve Grant (Indianapolis Colts & Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Jimmy Bell (New York Giants, San Diego Chargers).

Saturday, June 16, through Sunday, June 17, at the Lee County Civic Center, 11831 Bayshore Road, North Fort Myers.

This event will feature science fiction authors, guests from the comic book and film industry, vendors, presentations, game demos, gaming, game tournaments, cosplayers and costume contests. $10 per day per adult, $5 children 12 and under, $2 discount with costume or SWFL SpaceCon shirt. $5 for parking.
