1. Daytime Pickle Ball is back at the Marco YMCA

Summer camp is done and the kids are back in school. The daytime pickle ball courts are now available.

Monday, Aug. 20. is the kick off date for adult pickle ball. Players can enjoy the advanced round robins on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and those who are beginners or intermediates can play on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Time frame for all is 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. The program is free to members and only $15 for others. Instructional clinics are slated to begin in October 2018.

2. Saturday: Beach cleanup

There will be a beach cleanup starting at 9 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 19 at the South Beach Boardwalk.

Everyone is welcome to join in and make the environment better.

3. Tuesday: Veterans Community Park design discussion

With Kimley-Horn and Associates; this is your opportunity to review park survey results and provide feedback and input on the park master plan concepts.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee meeting is 3 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 21; in the Dr. Fay and Bedford Biles Community Room, 51 Bald Eagle Drive, Marco Island.
