In the mood for seafood? Tired of the same fare? How does a broiled seafood casserole sound? Or a seafood pasta featuring mussels, shrimp, grouper, scallops and clams with your choice of sauce – marinara or lemon butter? There are also frog legs, gator nuggets and so much more.

My partner in dine was in the mood for seafood. He chose the broiled seafood casserole ($16.99), which featured assorted seafood – fish, shrimp, etc. – in a lemon butter sauce, with rice and vegetables.

This dish was in perfect harmony and I was jealous it wasn’t mine. I couldn’t believe the amount and variety of vegetables, including carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. My favorite part of the casserole was the spinach that was cooked with the fish. It had a crunchy, tasty quality we likened to spinach dip without the dip.

I decided to go the landlubbers route, since dining parties are often mixed between seafood lovers and not-so-muchers. And there were many options there too – from burgers to chicken, turkey, steak and hotdogs; wraps, sandwiches, pasta and soup.

I picked the Cesar wrap and sweet potato fries ($13.99). Once again, I could not believe the generous amount of chicken breast. The dressing was not too creamy; an absolute delight. I admit I forgot about the national Romaine scare up until the dish was placed before me. But I proceeded to eat it carefree, placing my trust in our local entrepreneurs.

The fries were crisp and delicious. You know the taters are good when the ketchup remains closed; and it did.

Our table neighbors picked the seafood pasta and raved to the waiter, not knowing who we were. They love it so much, it’s all the couple orders when they visit or so they related. You can’t buy that sort of loyalty (or publicity).

So, seafood lovers, Capri Fish House is for you. And you can bring your landlubber friends with you, guilt free.
