1. Tour Naples Botanical Garden

For small groups or individuals who would like a tour of the garden, try one of the guided daily tours.

Included with regular admission, no reservationsneeded. These tours are available first come, first served; up to 15 people permitted per tour. Tours leave from the Smith Entry Prow at 10 a.m.

Naples Botanical Garden is a great spot for bird watchers.

Summer hours: Through Sept. 2, the Garden is open 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. The Garden will be open on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2.

2. ‘Collier Has Talent’

Preliminary competition rounds will take place at 7 p.m. on select dates through Aug.14, and the finale event will be held at 7 p.m. on August 24, at Celebration Park Naples, 2880 Becca Avenue, Naples. A community-driven celebration of the diverse talents found throughout Collier County. County residents will compete for a chance to win $5,000, with each night also benefiting a local non-profit. 3. Senior Softball

The Marco Island Senior Softball League has resumed play at Winterberry Park on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Pick-up games are scheduled each of those days at 8:15 a.m. Anybody interested in a friendly game of softball can participate, with all skill levels welcomed. While the minimum age for regular league games is 55, age limits are not strictly enforced for pick-up games. Information: 239-642-2930.
