1. Saturday: Leg It for Literacy
On National Literacy Day, RunDurance, Fit2Run Naples and the Literacy Volunteers of Collier County will come together to put on a series of races.
Races include competitive, chip-timed 5K or a family fun run.
Prices start at $25 for the chip-timed event and $20 for the non-competitive fun run.
The event is from 7:30 until 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Sugden Regional Park, 4284 Avalon Drive, Naples.

2. Tuesday: Manatee Elementary school outreach
From 5 until 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Marco Island Library, 210 South Heathwood Drive, Marco Island.
Deborah Eby, School Counselor will speak about the school’s enrichment programs and opportunities for community involvement.
