It's the most wonderful time of the year, and there are plenty of opportunities to celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas or the winter season across Southwest Florida.

Holiday Nights at Edison and Ford Winter Estates: 5:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 29-Dec. 28 (closed Dec. 24-25), 2350 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers. Historic buildings and more than 20 acres of gardens are decorated with lights and traditional decorations. "She Loves me":  Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Nov. 27 through Dec. 22 at The Naples Players, 701 5th Avenue South, Naples. Regarded by many as “The Perfect Christmas Love Story", She Loves Me follows two feuding clerks in the 1930s. Tickets $35 to subscribers, $45 individual. 239-263-7990.

Night Lights in the Garden: 6-9 p.m. Nov. 29 to Jan 5. Naples Botanical Garden, 4860 Bayshore Drive, Naples. In its 10th year, Night Lights in the Garden brings colorful displays, live music and winter treats. Prices Nov.  29–Dec 15 — $25 ($12 members), $12 ages 4-14 ($6 members). Santa’s Wonderland: Select times daily through Tuesday, Dec. 24, at Bass Pro Shops, 10040 Gulf Center Drive, Fort Myers. Visit the ticket depot inside the store to receive a ticket to see Santa. In the meantime, you can explore Santa's Wonderland or shop the store while waiting in a virtual line. Each child who visits Santa receives a free 4-by-6 inch photo. Holidays in the Downtown Fort Myers River District: Dec. 1 to Dec. 31. Holiday events to get you in the spirit of the season, including Festival of Trees, Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting, Burroughs’s Home & Gardens Holiday House, Music Walk and more.

"Let Nothing You Dismay": Select dates/times Dec. 6 through Dec. 22, at The Laboratory Theater of Florida, 1634 Woodford Avenue, Fort Myers. Set during Christmas in a hospital waiting room, this fast-paced comedy focuses on a couple about to adopt its first child when the entire extended family decides to make a surprise visit. Eight comedic actors portray 22 different roles.  239-218-0481.

Holiday House Decorated Historic Homes: 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 7 to Dec. 22 in downtown Fort Myers. Thousands of lights decorate the historic Burroughs and Langford Kingston homes 239-337-0706 or

Hanukkah Factory: 4:45 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18. Chabad of Naples will hold a Hanukkah Factory at the Chabad Center, 1789 Mandarin Road, Naples. Participants will squeeze, press, pound and pulverize real authentic olives into fresh olive oil just like the ancient Maccabees at a hands-on, exciting workshop centered on a authentic olive oil hand press. Also features Hanukkah cookie decorating, refreshments and traditional dreidel, a four-sided spinning top game, and “gelt," or the distribution of small change to children. 

The Gatlin Brothers Country Christmas Concert: 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee, 506 South 1st St., Immokalee. The Gatlin Brothers will perform their hits as well as favorite Christmas and holiday songs during this country Christmas concert. Concert attendees must be 21 years of age or older. $69 per person. 1-800-514-ETIX. 

"Fairytale Nutcracker":  6:30 p.m. Dec. 20 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 21. Golden Gate High School Auditorium, 2925 Titan Way, Naples. Student dancers from Etudes de Ballet perform their own special version of  "The Nutcracker." $22-$27 per ticket plus convenience fee; at the door, $30.

Cape Coral Christmas Boat Parade: 4 to 10 p.m. festivities, in Four Freedoms Park with boat parade starting at 7 p.m. Dec. 21. Enjoy food, music and visit from Santa. Free.

Marco Boat Parade: 6 p.m. Dec. 21. Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce, 1102 N Collier Blvd, Marco Island. Decorated boats glide past viewers and offer holiday photo ops aplenty. Recommended viewing spots include The Esplanade on Smokehouse Bay and Snook Inn on the Marco River.

Celebration of Hanukkah in Winter Wonderland: 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 22 at Cambier Park, 580 Eighth Street S., Naples. Entire community is welcome to attend Naples’ biggest Hanukkah party of the year featuring an ice menorah kindled by Mayor Bill Barnett. Also, there will be real snow for the children to play, rides, games and crafts, and plenty of delicious refreshments and Hanukkah treats. 

"Amahl and the Night Visitors": 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, St. Leo Parish Life Center, 28290 Beaumont Road, Bonita Springs; $10 (youth rate) to $50. 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, Salvation Army of Naples Chapel, 3170 Estey Ave., Naples; $10 (youth rate) to $35.
