Siera Santos of Fox 10 Phoenix is leaving the station: 'I got called up!'

Fox 10 sports anchor Siera Santos is heading to the big leagues.

Santos is leaving the Phoenix station, which she joined in 2020, for the MLB Network.

"I got called up!" Santos posted on her Instagram account. "I'm still in disbelief and incredibly humbled to join @mlbnetwork’s all-star staff."

Santos, who grew up in Arizona, could not be reached for comment. However, in a 2021 interview with The Arizona Republic, while she extolled the virtues of all the sports she covers, it was clear she has a special affinity for baseball.

“One of the things I loved was being in the clubhouse every day and really getting to know guys, and getting to use my Spanish to be able to connect with all the Latino players was huge for me,” she said. “I felt like I could tell their stories that may not have ever been told, not necessarily just because of the language barrier. ... There were opportunities there to talk about their lives and what was going on that someone else might not have gotten."

According to a release from, "Santos will host across MLB Network’s studio programming, including a regular presence on 'Quick Pitch' and 'Big Inning.'"
