Megan Thee Stallion has some 'Good News': Her debut album drops Nov. 20

Megan Thee Stallion has some "Good News" for her fans.

After months of misfortunes stemming from her assault in July, the "Savage" rapper is ready to flip the narrative with the release of her debut album on Nov. 20.

"THROUGH SUCH A ROUGH YEAR I FELT LIKE WE COULD ALL USE A LIL GOOD NEWS," Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, tweeted Thursday.

Despite the tough year, Pete has had her fair share of good fortune in 2020.

In April, the Houston native teamed up with Beyoncé for her first No. 1 single with a remix of "Savage," the rapper's single that went viral on TikTok with over 30 million users participating in the "classy, bougie, ratchet" dance challenge.

In August, Pete jumped on Cardi B's highly controversial yet wildly popular single "WAP," earning her second No. 1 of the year.

Pete also picked up two BET Awards (including Best Female Hip Hop Artist over Nicki Minaj, Cardi B and Doja Cat), two BET Hip Hop Awards (including Hip Hop Artist of the Year over Drake, Future and DaBaby) and scored a coveted musical appearance on "Saturday Night Live."

“We need to protect our Black women and love our Black women... because at the end of the day we need our Black women," Megan said during her "SNL" performance.

Rapper Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is accused of shooting at Megan Thee Stallion several times and wounding her on July 12 in Hollywood Hills. He faces two felony charges: assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
