You’ll see heritage breed chickens on pasture along with their guard turkeys, Tim and Tom. The Red Wattle pigs are in the middle of baby season, with piglets snuggled down with their moms under shelters in the fields. A growing herd of over 50 longhorn cattle also lives on the property, grazing its way through different pastures.
After the tour, lunch will be served in the elegant rustic barn, featuring produce, eggs, chicken and pork from the farm. A chicken, pork or vegan dish will be offered, with the menu released the Monday before the event (menus are set once harvest is determined, and produce is harvested the morning of the event).
Rose and our Taste staff, Anne Reed and Annabelle Tometich, will answer questions submitted via email after lunch as you enjoy some of the farm’s famous cookies.
