Chess
Chess K-12 is new club for students from K through high school. Parents, grandparents or guardians encouraged to attend. The club meets each Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon in the Marco Island Library, 210 S. Heathwood Dr. All students can improve their academic abilities by competing in chess games. Chess of Marco Island is open to all chess players. Casual games are each Monday, 9 a.m. to noon at Marco Island Lutheran Church, 525 N. Collier.

Marco VFW Post 6370
The Marco VFW Post 6370 meets the second Tuesday, at the Mutual of Omaha Bank on San Marco Road at 7 p.m. at the rear entrance to the bank. The VFW sells U.S.-made flags of all types at wholesale prices using proceeds for veterans’ relief and welfare. New male and female veterans who served in combat areas are needed.
