Noontime Rotary receives awards at 2019 All Clubs celebration
Rotary District 6960 recently held its “All Clubs Celebration” at the Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village. The theme of the conference was a celebration of Rotarians, Rotary Clubs and the significant positive impact that they have on the communities that Rotary serves.
District Governor Sandra Hemstead challenged all attending to always “Be the Inspiration!”
The conference program was filled with distinguished guests and speakers from around the globe that embody the mission of Rotary International to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
The Rotary Club of Marco Island Noontime was recognized in a number of ways for their demonstration of the Rotary Motto “Service above Self.” The Lely High School Interact Club, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Marco Island Noontime, received the Zone 34 Interact Club Award. The efforts of the club to promote Rotarians as “People of Action” was recognized with the Zone 34 Public Image Citation. The club itself was awarded the “Governor’s Gold Award” for its accomplishments this year.
Two individuals were singled out for their contributions to the Noontime Club and to District 6960. Ron Rutledge was honored with the “District Branding Award’ for his exceptional work in reimagining the Club’s website, bulletin, and materials. President Pat Rutledge received major recognition as District President of the Year – Small Club for her work in leading the Noontime Club to a very successful year.
