It's graduation week in Southwest Florida, and traditionally it's the youngsters from the YMCA of South Collier-Marco YMCA who grab the honors of going first.

May 23 at the Y's Youth Development Center, 15 young graduates entertained their parents and relatives with poems, songs and monologues about why they enjoyed preschool.

After that came the highlight, with each of the youngsters collecting their diplomas from pre-K teacher/director Kelly O'Connor.

Pre-K teacher/director Kelly O'Connor takes the mic around asking each graduate to state their plans for the future.

The grads were Abigail Anesca, Aisha El Ibrik, Amelia Scuderi, Angely Gutierrez, Cooper Schulte,

Gabriel Hernandez, Hadlie Heflin, Jaime David, Jake Verdon, Kaiden McCollum, James Ralph, Jocelyn Santos, Madeleine Love, Mccullough Hewitt and Zachary Bores.
