Marco Island was a scene of magic on Nov. 1. Snowbirds Bill and Kim Sarsfield planned an incredible surprise for their son, 26-year old Tyler Sarsfield and his girlfriend, Olivia Yoder.

I sat in plain sight at Resident’s Beach among thousands of seagulls, a friend, and my trusty camera. Acting as a local, Olivia had had no idea I was there or why I was there. Moments later, Tyler dropped to his knee asking a major, exciting and once in a lifetime question – “Olivia, will you marry me?”

With a backdrop of a perfect sunset, a few cotton candy clouds, and a flock of island seagulls, Olivia said “yes!” and the entire event was captured on camera.

Tyler choose Resident’s Beach as a special place that holds memories for the two lovebirds, who have dated for over five years. After a few photos, the couple walked south to the JW Marriott where Olivia’s family had secretly been waiting.

The Yoder family was in on the surprise as they flew from Carmel, Indiana, to help celebrate their daughter's engagement.

Congratulations to the Sarsfield and Yoder families for a plan well executed and to planning a wedding in the near future.

Love is in the air this holiday season! I can't wait to surprise my next fiancé-to-be. You never know who it may be!
