“Love & Money,” described as a “buoyant comedy,” is about a widow who plans to donate all her worldly goods. It was written by A.R. Gurney and will be staged by the Marco Players from April 20 until May 8.

Gurney, a Pulitzer Prize-nominated playwright has produced nearly 50 plays during his career, along with several musicals and three novels. He is known for his acute observation of a privileged and disappearing class — characters with impeccable breeding and private-school educations, who sip martinis at cocktail hour and give perfect dinner parties, regardless of the disruptions that shake the world around them.
