There must be something in the water at the "Today" show.
That was the joke from the crew after Jenna Bush Hager made a surprise announcement Monday morning that she and husband Henry Hager are expecting baby No. 3.
"Ya'll I'm very pregnant, so I don't know how I hid this," Bush Hager said through smiles.
The news anchor and daughter of former president and first lady George and Laura Bush said that the couple shared the news with their two children Mila, 6, and Poppy, 3, by giving them "a little something extra" in their Easter baskets this year.
They couldn't keep it a secret anymore because Mila and Poppy are telling everyone, she said.
"We're thrilled. It is a shock. It is a lot. But we are grateful."
After letting viewers guess the gender of the baby in a Twitter poll, Hager did a reveal on the show. She and Meredith Vieira opened an oversized gift box that was hiding blue balloons. Hager is having a baby boy.
The announcement comes just weeks after Bush Hager started her new role at the "Today" show. She took over Kathie Lee Gifford's spot in the fourth hour of the show.
Hoda Kotb revealed that she adopted a new baby girl, Hope Catherine, last week.
