Usually teenage girls would be appalled to dress like their moms. But not if your mom is Courteney Cox.

The 54-year-old actress shared side-by-side photos of her and her 14-year-old daughter, Coco Arquette, to Instagram wearing the same purple lace dress.

"I'm not one to hold onto things but this was a damn good purchase!" Cox wrote, adding, "21 years later..."

Coco is pictured on the right rocking the dress like it's no big deal.

Photo archives place Cox in the dress at the premiere for "Snake Eyes" on July 30, 1998. She attended the event with then-husband David Arquette, who is Coco's dad.

The "Friends" star recently opened up her struggles to get pregnant. Cox gave birth to Coco at 40 after numerous miscarriages and IVF treatments.

"I didn't want to give up," she said. "I just think it's important to get things out there so people can realize they're not alone."

It makes it all that much sweeter to see their mother-daughter relationship. She is clearly one proud mama.

Here's a closer looks of the dress on Cox.
