Dean Shipley, of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Florida Realty, has been recognized as the Marco Island Office’s Rookie of the Year for 2016. The award recognizes the outstanding sales achievement in closed residential units for a newly licensed sales person during their first full-year as a real estate sales professional.

Dean was presented the honor at the Marco Island office’s business meeting which was held at the Marco Island Area Association of Realtors building on April 1.

“Dean is truly deserving of this honor. During 2016, he had a very successful year attaining multi-million dollar sales success which is very unusual for a newly licensed sales professional. We are proud of Dean and his accomplishments as he’s set a standard for what is possible for someone to achieve when entering into a new career field,” said Managing Broker Ken Bennett.

Shipley attributes his success to his “strong Midwestern values combined with honesty and trust.” He says he feels that his desire to deliver more than is expected and his attention to detail has helped him have the strong career start that he’s experienced.

Not new to professional sales, Shipley has immersed himself for over 25 years in business and consumer sales specializing in automotive, software development, and facilities management. He has also discovered that the real estate profession really enables him to utilize all of the top-notched business and customer service skills he has developed over the years which is a definite benefit to his buyers and sellers.
On the more personal side, Beth Shipley, Dean’s wife of 17 years, has definitely grown accustomed to the beautiful Florida sunshine and their two rescue dogs, Coby and Gracie, have also adapted nicely to the Marco Island lifestyle.
