Gastropub and gaming: JW Marriott unveils 10K Alley
On Sept. 15, the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort unveiled 10K Alley, a combination gastropub and state-of-the-art gaming emporium located on the fifth floor of the new Lanai Tower.
The stylish and sophisticated 10K Alley was designed to smoothly transition between family fun during the day and exclusive adult-centered nightlife after dark.
Pulsating with energy, visitors to this industrial chic restaurant will have no trouble living by its motto: “Eat food. Make friends. Have fun.” Initially, 10K Alley will be reserved for resort guests and group bookings, and the gaming and dining outlet will be opened to the public in early 2019.
“10K Alley is the entertainment destination that Marco Island has been waiting for,” Sharon Lockwood, Marriott general manager, said.
“It's one of those unique elements that only The JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort could bring to reality. As one of the final steps before we unveil all of the new Lanai Tower offerings, 10K Alley will provide an exciting option to both our leisure and business guests.”
10K Alley delivers the look and feel of an upscale modern distillery. Whether enjoying flavorful gastropub fare seated at the circular bar, communal high-tops or in the main dining area, visitors will delight in the restaurant’s elevated cuisine, decadent milkshakes and other mouthwatering treats.
The drinks menu is equally impressive, showcasing 50 Florida craft beers and barrel-aged bourbons including rare and limited production spirits such as Old Forester Birthday, Kentucky Owl and Pappy Van Winkle 23. Some of the bourbons were created exclusively for 10K Alley in a partnership between the JW Marriott Marco Island, Jack Daniels and Woodford Reserve.
In addition to its hand-crafted food and drinks, 10K Alley boasts a mix of classic and modern games that invite families, friends and other groups to indulge in friendly competition. Those seeking a nostalgic, hands-on gaming experience will appreciate the mini bowling lanes, themed mini-golf and traditional pool tables. 10K Alley also provides a high-end selection of modern video games, including immersive visual sports simulators designed to transport users into thrilling golf, soccer, hockey and baseball games. The simulators even offer hunting and clay shooting experiences.
This refined new space will also be available for buyouts during special events, large group gatherings and corporate meetings. Up to 125 people can actively participate in the activities and games at any given time, and 10K Alley’s overall capacity is 500 guests. However, the guest capacity can be increased through an overflow into the adjoining hospitality suites and the fifth-floor terrace.
The launch of 10K Alley is a milestone in the resort’s $320 million renovation, which began in 2015 and included a new grand front entrance, reimagined lobby, transformed guestrooms and suites, expanded pool decks, and exciting additions to the property’s culinary offerings. 10K Alley’s unveiling brings the luxurious beachfront property one step closer to the opening of its new Lanai Tower, which will also feature a rooftop pool, signature restaurant and a brand new Adult-Exclusive Experience at the JW Marriott Marco Island.
The Lanai Tower is slated to open in Fall 2018.
