Dick's Sporting Goods to also stay closed Thanksgiving amid COVID-19, following Walmart, Target holiday closures
Dick's Sporting Goods is the latest to announce its stores will stay closed this Thanksgiving due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Dick's distribution centers will also close for the holiday, which is Nov. 26, and the company said it is extending its 15% pay premium through the end of the year, according to its news release Monday.
"We are so thankful to our teammates for their hard work and dedication," Dick's chairman and CEO Ed Stack said in a statement. "They have navigated this year with strength, commitment and care for each other and for our customers."

All Dick's stores will operate with "standard business hours" on Wednesday, Nov. 25, and information "on holiday hours, which begin Friday, November 27, will be shared at a later date," the company said.
The holiday closings include the retailer's Golf Galaxy and Field & Stream specialty stores.
Like other retailers, Dick's rolled out curbside pickup at the start of the pandemic when it closed stores.
