St. Patrick's parade is Sunday

What better than a hooley and a St. Patrick's Day parade, even if it's a week before the real thing.

The parade starts at 1 p.m., and green is, of course, the color of choice.

This Sunday, March 8, Marco hosts the 8th annual parade down Bald Eagle Drive from NCH opposite City Hall at 1 p.m. Special marshal will be Rep. Kathleen Passidomo, who qualifies for the honor because she's the daughter of an Irish mother and an Italian father.

The hooley (by definition a "wild and unruly party") starts 10 a.m. at Veteran's Community Park, and continues throughout the day with performers and food, all of it green, according to organizer Kathleen Reynolds.

She says it's a great opportunity to party with shams (friends), feeks (gorgeous girls), and that the whole day is going to be quare (very) full of fun.
