Police charged Jamie Walter Stewart, 47, of Naples with two counts of sale of cocaine on Marco.

Stewart had been employed part-time by two local restaurants on the island. He was arrested on April 2 by Collier County Sheriff's Office deputies and posted $50,000 bond on April 3.

Marco Police Chief Al Schettino said the arrest was part of a joint investigation, and the result of intelligence via the department's community-policing effort.

Sgt. Nick Ojanovac, who supervises Marco patrol and investigative services divisions and formerly served with the sheriff's office, praised the joint effort, saying it "was a textbook case of how to work together."
