It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas at the Marco Island Center for the Arts as the main gallery has been transported into an elaborate Festival of Trees.

The festival is a fundraiser, featuring trees donated by individuals, clubs, organizations and businesses.

“It’s all about making things work for the center for the arts,” said Dave Rice, organizer of Festival of Trees. “It takes a whole team to make it a success.”

Public viewing, at no charge, was to begin on Wednesday, and everyone is welcome to visit the gallery full of trees until Thursday, Dec. 3, at 4 p.m.

The benefit is a silent auction – 50 percent of the proceeds goes to the tree provider, and 50 percent goes to the center for the arts, except for churches and childrens organizations that can keep all of their profits.
