Cubs bring home ‘top dog’ challenge award

Cub Scout Pack 234 held a hot dog roast to congratulate the Webelos II Den for bringing home the "Top Dog" award from the Broke Back Dog Challenge in April.

Part of the group of cubs, parents and supporters who gathered for the celebration.

Alejo Ruiz-Vallejo and James Burns won the top award for their skills in first aid, fire building, personal fitness, knots, marksmanship orienteering/compass team building and scout knowledge during the challenge at Camp Miles in Punta Gorda.

Pack 234 was one of the smallest patrol groups, but excelled during the weekend long competition. The Pack celebrated their victory with hot dogs, games and songs recently at Wesley United Methodist Church.
