Only one Marco Island supermarket has plenty of water, others not so much

Only one Marco Island supermarket has plenty of water while others not as much as Hurricane Dorian nears Florida.

The Winn-Dixie on 625 N. Collier Blvd. reportedly has bottled water as of 5 p.m., Friday. " We have plenty of water," an employee said to the Eagle.

A car is parked in front of Publix at Shops of Marco on 175 S. Barfield Dr.

Both Publix supermarkets have a limited amount of bottled water. The Publix at Marco Town Center has some 12-packs and the Publix at Shops of Marco only has miscellaneous water, according to Publix employees. "Hopefully we'll have some more this afternoon," a Publix employee said.

A Dollar Tree employee said they did not have water and were not expecting new shipments soon.
