The Florida Department of Health reported 60 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths in Collier County on Monday. The death toll stands at 71, according to the state.

Those new positive cases resulted from a total of additional 280 tests reported Monday by the state for Collier County. That's a positivity rate of 21.4%.

The department confirmed Collier's first three cases of the novel coronavirus on Wednesday, March 11. Since then, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Collier has increased to 4,147.

Collier County ended the month of May with a total of 1,539 COVID-19 cases. So far, there have been 2,608 cases reported for Collier in June, an increase of 169.5% over the county's total entering the month.

On Monday, Collier's overall positivity rate increased to 12.44%, the highest its been since March 22 when it was 13.64% and the county had 33 cases. The state's overall positivity rate is 7.65%.

A total of 320 people in Collier County have been hospitalized for COVID-19 as of Monday, according to the report, but that number does not reflect the people currently in the hospital, according to the Florida Department of Health. 

The Florida Department of Health is not reporting how many people have recovered from COVID-19.
