The Florida Department of Health reported no new deaths and 109 new cases of COVID-19 in Collier County on Friday. The death toll remains at 61, according to the state.

The department confirmed Collier's first three cases of the novel coronavirus Wednesday, March 11. Since then, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Collier has increased to 2,992.

A total of 288 people in Collier County have been hospitalized for COVID-19 as of Friday, according to the report, but that number does not reflect the people currently in the hospital, according to the Florida Department of Health. 

The Florida Department of Health is not reporting how many people have recovered from COVID-19.
