The Florida Department of Health reported 47 new cases of COVID-19 in Collier County  Monday. The number of COVID-19 related deaths in the county remained at 64.

According to the state, Collier has recorded a total of 1,667 cases so far in June with an overall positivity rate of 13.6%. In May, Collier had 943 cases reported for the month with a positivity rate of 8.37%.

The department confirmed Collier's first three cases of the novel coronavirus on Wednesday, March 11. Since then, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Collier has increased to 3,206.

A total of 291 people in Collier County have been hospitalized for COVID-19 as of Monday, according to the report, but that number does not reflect the people currently in the hospital, according to the Florida Department of Health. 

As of approximately 1 p.m. Monday, Collier County had 19.7% of its total hospital beds available and 39.5% of its adult ICU beds available, according to Florida's Agency for Heathcare Administration. The state's available percentages were 27.8% (hospital beds) and 26.9% (ICU beds), respectively.

The Florida Department of Health is not reporting how many people have recovered from COVID-19.
