Collier County has set a new daily record of COVID-19 cases. 

The Florida Department of Health reported 257 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths in Collier County on Friday. The death toll remains at 70, according to the state.

The department confirmed Collier's first three cases of the novel coronavirus on Wednesday, March 11. Since then, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Collier has increased to 3,778.

A total of 312 people in Collier County have been hospitalized for COVID-19 as of Friday, according to the report, but that number does not reflect the people currently in the hospital, according to the Florida Department of Health. 

The Florida Department of Health is not reporting how many people have recovered from COVID-19.
