Polk County's timeline: One year of COVID-19

The City of Lakeland closed parks in late March to avoid large gatherings. The city loosened restrictions on March 30, but reversed course two days later when Gov. Ron DeSantis issued his statewide safer-at-home order. All parks were then shut down.
