Girl, 4, who drowned in East Naples is identified
Lisa Conley gives the scoop on what we are working on today.
A 4-year-old girl who drowned Monday in East Naples has been identified as Saijene Kernizan Black, said Jamie Mosbach, a Collier County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.
Investigators do not think the child's death in a neighbor's pool was suspicious, Mosbach said.
An incident report on the death was not available Tuesday. Mosbach said the report should be available by Wednesday.
The call came in about 6 p.m. Monday from a home along Fifth Street, about 5 miles southeast of Naples Botanical Garden and west of U.S. 41. Saijene was found dead at the scene.
An investigation into the drowning continued Tuesday.
