UPDATE: The appointments have been filled.

Appointments are available next week for seniors 65 and older to receive COVID-19 vaccinations in Collier County.

The vaccine is also available for healthcare personnel with direct patient contact. They will be asked to provide identification indicating they are healthcare staff.

Online appointments are required and can be made starting 9 a.m. Friday through Eventbrite by visiting CollierCountyCOVIDVaccines.Eventbrite.com.

Hundreds of doses available each day

The appointments next week will be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with more than 700 doses available each day, according to Kristine Hollingsworth, spokeswoman for the health department.

The vaccine will be offered as a drive-thru at North Collier Regional Park soccer fields, 15000 Livingston Road, in North Naples.

People are asked to arrive 10 minutes before their appointment time and not any earlier because it slows down the process, health department officials said.

The state health department is working with the private, nonprofit Healthcare Network in Collier to administer the vaccines.

Face masks must be worn while waiting in your car. No referral is necessary and there is no cost. Clients will be asked to complete registration prior to receiving the shot.

The state also is providing COVID-19 testing on Thursday, Jan. 14, at North Collier Regional Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
