The Fallen Officers foundation will honor the lives of those lost in the line of duty in Collier and Lee County during a gala Friday at the Naples Grande Beach Resort.

The Fallen Officers of Naples, which supports the Robert L. Zore Foundation, will host its first Mission 2244 Gala. Organizers expect it will be an annual event.

“I think if it wasn’t for our law enforcement officers, we would not have a community,” said Fallen Officers Vice President Michael Randall.  "It’s so important to support our men and women that give the ultimate sacrifice.”

Mission 2244 is a tribute to Miami-Dade police officer Robert L Zore, who was killed on duty on Dec. 25, 1983. His badge number was 2244.

The Fallen Officers Foundation will honor the lives of those lost in the line of duty during their Mission 2244 Gala on Friday, March 13, 2020.
