22-year-old pronounced dead after being struck by SUV in Collier County
A 22-year-old Golden Gate man died Saturday morning after he was struck by an SUV in Collier County.
At 3:50 a.m., a Bonita Springs man, 35, was driving his SUV south on Logan Boulevard South when the 22-year-old tried to cross Logan Boulevard South near Tallowood Way, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
As he was crossing, he walked into the SUV's path and was struck by the front of the SUV.
The 22-year-old was pronounced dead at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers and the driver was not injured.
Troopers did not release the identities of those involved in the crash and it is still under investigation.
