Cape Coral swipes wrong way for singles, ranks at bottom WalletHub reports
If finding love is on your list of things to do, Facebook can help. Buzz60's Natasha Abellard has the story.
Cape Coral singles are out of luck in the dating pool, ranking fourth from the bottom in opportunity, a new poll says.
Overall, Cape Coral ranked 168th of 182 metropolitan areas where WalletHub compared U.S. cities across 34 key indicators of dating-friendliness. The data ranges from share of single population to number of online dating opportunities to nightlife options per capita.
The city fell two ranks from last year's poll.
Cape Coral ranked No. 1 in economic opportunities and in the bottom third (136) for fun and recreation.
Wallethub found the average cost of a date across the nation is $102.32. Cape Coral nearly led the pack in low-cost dates, however, coming in second for the lowest price of movie tickets, as well as beauty salon costs.
As far as opportunity, Cape Coral ranked low in the factors Wallethub used to determine rank: share of single population, singles gender balance, online dating opportunities, mobile dating opportunities and “most active tinder users”."
There are worse places in Florida for singles to live. Pembroke Pines ranked second to last, narrowly beating Hialeah at third-to-last.
Those better than Cape Coral are Jacksonville at 88, Fort Lauderdale at 61, Miami at 43, and Tampa at 29.
