Michigan reports an additional 446 coronavirus cases, 9 deaths
The Michigan health department has reported an additional 446 coronavirus cases Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 67,683.
The state also reported nine new deaths, increasing the statewide death toll to 6,024.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer during a Thursday news conference said a "countless" amount of people gathered during the holiday weekend. She added that Michigan law requires that everyone wear a mask in any enclosed public space.
The nonprofit COVID Act Now, which focuses on coronavirus tracing, said Wednesday that Michigan is now at risk for another coronavirus outbreak.
As of Friday, a total of 52,841 coronavirus patients have recovered, according to the state's health department.
In addition, the state has reported 7,380 probable cases and 247 probable deaths, bringing the statewide total to 75,063 cases and 6,271 deaths.
