DaVinci's leads Island Division; Mango's leads Marco Division
DaVinci's maintained a three game lead in the Island Division with the Brewery in second place, while Mango's held on to a half game lead in the Marco Division, with Speakeasy and Crazy Flamingo's tied for second. .

DaVinci's 15 Mutual of Omaha Bank 14
DaVinci's scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth to send the game into extra innings and won on base hit by Craig Cunningham in the tenth. Jim Williams and John Remhoff scorched the ball for four hits, while Bill Wright had three including a triple. Bill Thompson drove in three runs, Cunningham and Williams two. The Bank saw Bob Williams, Herman Griffith, John DeRosa and John Rysak line three hits apiece with Griffith slamming a homerun. Griffith had three RBI; Williams Rysak, Ed Kingsbury and Ed Brack two.
Nacho Mama's 23 Sand Bar 16
John Barrett and Jim Stuart slashed five hits Nacho's, with Jon Wiseman having four; John Gross, Pete Oellrich, and Jeff Hultgren three. One of Hultgren's hits' was a triple. Wiseman, Gross, and Stuart drove in three runs; Oellrich, Stuart, Barrett, and Dave Droddy two. Dave Banghart ripped four hits for Sand Bar with Jim George, Tom Bishard, Ralph Sieja, Dan Dumbauld, and Larry Anspach having three. Frank Benedetti launched a solo homerun and George whacked a triple. Sieja and Ray Kane drove home three runs, George and Rick Benedetti two.
Brewery 14 Porky's 13
In a come from behind win the Brewery scored seven runs in the eighth inning and was able to hold off a rally attempt by Porky's in the ninth for the win. Steve Hummel continued his torrid hitting smacking another homerun and had three hits as did Mike Endelman, Chris Flynn, and Phil Holmes. Jack O'Brien and Jim Dory also clouted a homerun; John Remhoff and Chuck Reich smashed a triple. Holmes' tallied four RBI, Hummel, O'Brien, and Nick Jacullo two. Porky's John Haskins, Jimmy Cuevas, and Dan Moriarty nailed three hits, with Jim Ramage hoisting a solo homerun. Bob Grant had three RBI; Joe Cervelli, Tom Tankersley and Haskins two.
Brewery 16 Nacho Mama's 6
Chris Flynn, Phil Holmes, Tom Whitlock, and Chuck Reich punched out three hits for the Brewery. Flynn, and Mike Endelman drove in three runs; Holmes, Nick Jacullo and Jack O'Brien two. Dave Droddy of Nacho's lined three hits, with Droddy and Pete Oellrich having two RBI in the game

Porky's cashed out the Bank behind fifth-teen walks being issued and the hitting of John Haskins, Jimmy Cuevas, and Tom Pugh stinging the ball for four hits while Jim Ramage, Bob Grant, Tom Tankersley and Jack Mateja had three. One of Ramage's hit was a homerun. Joe Cervelli chased in five runs, Pugh and Ramage four, Haskins three; Mateja, Rich Krumholtz and Dan Moriarty two. Herman Griffith, Ed Kingsbury, Steve Clark, John DeRosa and Butch Coursen stroked three hits for the Bank, with Ed Brack walloping a homerun and Kingsbury mashing a triple. Kingsbury, Clark and John Rysak had three RBI, Coursen and Jerry Engel had two.
DaVinci's 26 Sand Bar 7
In a game called due to the mercy rule, DaVinci's had thirty hits with Bill Thompson, Jim Williams, Jim Vitas and Jerry Cnudde hammering four hits; Craig Cunningham, Grady Fuller, and Paul Shelton having three. Thompson, Shelton and Murph Knapke launched homeruns with Thompson's being a grand slam. Cunningham and Wright whacked a triple. Shelton tabulated five RBI, Wright and Thompson four, Williams and Cnudde three, Cunningham and Fuller two. Sand Bar had Dan Dumbauld and Frank Benedetti accounting for three hits each, with Dumbauld cracking a triple, and both having two RBI.
Nacho Mama's 14 Porky's 10
Nacho's Jon Wiseman ripped four hits; Tom Gazzillo, Jim Gilligan, and John Barrett had three, with Wiseman and Martin clouting a homerun. Pete Oellrich drove in four runs, Martin and Barrett three, Wiseman two. Jim Ramage peppered the ball for three hits, one being a triple for Porky's. Teammate Tom Pugh belted a homerun giving him and Ramage two RBI in the game.
Brewery 20 DaVinci's 5
The Brewery spanked DaVinci's in a game called due to the mercy rule (fifteen run differential). Phil Holmes and Tom Whitlock drilled three hits to pace the Brewery. Holmes, Whitlock John Remhoff and Bill Kayhart blasted homeruns; Holmes' was a grand slam, while Nick Jacullo crushed a triple. Holmes chalked up six RBI; Remhoff, Jacullo, Whitlock and Kayhart had two. Winning pitcher Jack O'Brien limited DaVinci's high powered attack to eleven hits, with Grady Fuller collecting three of them, one a homerun and two RBI in the loss.
Sand Bar 25 Mutual of Omaha Bank 23
The teams exchanged the lead three times with Sand Bar allowing the Bank only one run in the top of the ninth for the win. Dave Banghart tore the cover off the ball having six hits for Sand Bar; Tom Bishard, Dan Dumbauld and John Sherwin had three. Dumbauld and Jim Green smacked a triple. Mike Endelman chased in four runs, Bishard and Dumbauld three; Rick Benedetti, Jim George, Ray Kane, and Green two. Butch Coursen scorched four hits for the Bank; Herman Griffith, Ed Kingsbury Art Sinisi, and John DeRosa had three. Kingsbury drove home four runs; Sinisi, Jerry Engel, and Steve Clark three, Bob Williams two.
Crazy Flamingo's 14 Stonewalls 8
Ray Zielinski stroked three hits, one a homerun, for Crazy Flamingo's while Ray Niemeyer and Jerry Kratz had two hits. Niemeyer had three RBI and Tom Grucci who walloped a triple had two RBI. Tom Purtell, Mike Behr and Dan Cody zinged out three hits for Stonewalls; John Luegering, John Wood, and Gary Schneider had two. Cody and Bob Smith crushed a triple; Cody had three runs driven in and Smith two in the game.
Mango's 19 Speakeasy 16
Mango's, who blew a three run lead in regulation play, having Speakeasy tie the game in the seventh, exploded for six runs in the eighth for the win. Jim Baumann and Jim White had three hits leading Mango's, with Jim Yount, Ed Dryfus, and Bill Dauch having two, one of Baumann's hits being a homer. White and Yount collected four RBI, Dauch three, Baumann and Warren Uhl two. Mike Arnold, Ron Irwin and Al Cenicola peppered three hits for Speakeasy; Bob Levasseur Chet Dal Bianco had two hits. Ed Kopecky and Cenicola blasted a homerun giving them along with Irwin and Joe Barry two runs driven in while Dal Bianco had three.
Joey's Pizza 19 CJ's on the Bay 6
Fourteen walks lead to CJ's demise as Joey's easily strolled to the win. Tom Loiacono had three hits for Joey's; Bob Monaco, Paul Burnett, and Bill Kaschube had two hits. Leroy Fishleigh had three RBI on three walks; Burnett, Kaschube, Tony Brock, Darryl Judson, and Lee Dilk two. CJ's Fran Roche drilled three hits, Mike Galatis and Alan Schneider two. Roger Fleming had two RBI as did Jerry Kratz, who clouted a two run homerun.
Crazy Flamingo's 16 Rookies 9
George Lancaster and Ray Niemeyer pocketed three hits apiece, with Niemeyer slugging another homerun for Flamingo's while Joe Furst, Ray Zielinski, Jerry Kratz, Steve Slaggie and Tom Paterson had two hit. Tom Grucci jolted a triple. Niemeyer and Kratz had three RBI and Lancaster two. John Hollerbach pummeled the ball for three hits one being a homerun for Rookies. Other Rookie members Dan O'Sullivan, Jerry Lenhoff, John Hedges and Rich Chimera had two hits, with Hollerbach having two RBI.
Speakeasy 18 Stonewalls 15
Speakeasy ended the team's five game losing streak with Chet Dal Bianco and Joe Barry delivering three hits, Barry hammered a homerun; Ed Kopecky, Bob Levasseur, Ron Irwin, Don Rooksberry and John Ranieri had two hits. Kopecky, Levasseur, Irwin, and Barry drove in two runs. John Luegering pulverized the ball having four hits including a homerun for Stonewalls. Teammates John Woods, Mike Walsh, and Mike Behr had three hits; John Robichaud and Tom Purtell two, with Purtell launching a homer. Luegering chased in five runs, Purtell, Wood and Robichaud two.
Mango's 12 CJ's on the Bay 11
In a squeaker, Mango's held off a last inning rally by CJ's for the win and first place in the Marco Division. Ed Dreyfus ripped four hits and Jim White three, Uhl two for Mango's. White smashed triple while Fran Diotte clobbered a homerun. Diotte collected three RBI, White and Uhl two. Fran Roche sprayed three hits for CJ's; Roger Fleming, Pat Coraggio, Don Schwartz, Mike Galatis, Butch Monson, and Gary Badger had two. Roche and Galatis picked up two RBI in the game.
