Both sexes excel in Co-Ed softball

In second round Co-Ed softball action, Speakeasy notched another victory in defeating the Brewery 11 to 7. Joey Irigoyen had 3 hits including a HR, and Selem Lake added a triple and double to lead the Speakeasy. The Brewery was led by Leo Rill, Michelle Richardson, Daphine Moss and CJ West all with 2 hits each.

Kretch’s also got their 2nd victory of the season with a win over Davinci’s, 15 to 6. Joe Pitrone, in hitting his second HR of the night led to a big seven-run 5th inning, moving the game out of Davinci’s reach. Naomi Smith and Nikki Carrol Prange each chipped in with two hits, including a Prange triple down the left field line. Mike Green had 3 hits for Davinci’s, and Sonny Grensing added two hits.

The last game of the night saw Stan’s post their second victory of the season with a win of the “City team” 14 to 7. Stan’s was led by Brad Frazier’s 3 hits and Jason Berning and Josh Ferris with 2 hits each. The City team was led by Robert Lange and Brandi Garwood with two hits each.

Co-Ed Softball is played every Thursday at Winterberry field, games start at 6pm.
