“We flew in today from Indiana to see our grandson (Canterbury’s #33 Chase Garrett) play. This is the first time this school year that we’ve been able to come down and watch him. We are big basketball fans, but we are bigger grandkid fans,” beams Steve Garrett.

The Canterbury Cougars Boys also proved to be difficult for the Rays to handle. At the final buzzer, 29-81 shown on the scoreboard.

The night's point leader for MIA, Kevin Barry with 7.

“We are experiencing a phase of growth. We have only 2 Seniors on our girls’ team, and our boys’ team has a lot of Freshman. We are looking forward to a great future,” said MIA Athletic Director Damon Coiro.

MIA's Kevin Barry (30) stays on his man.
