March enters with warmth and wind. Most east and northeast 15-18 mph; gusts 20s. Shallows impacted with riled water. Tides moderate; better p.m. incoming. Water temp holds 72-75. Chance sheepshead will disregard inshore water temp and commence spawn. Work deep holes river, docks, structure; both tides with shrimp, cut crabs. Some pompano action first hour incoming Sandollar edges with tipped jigs to bottom on drift. Spec trout active on drift, slow troll touts or tipped jigs Addison Bay cuts; Johnson Bay approach; Calhoun Channel; Kice (Cape Romano). Incoming best. Mangrove snapper along edges Sea Oat to Keewaydin docks; on small shrimp.

NEARSHORE

Conditions best early. Pompano early a.m. front edges Caxambas, Capri beach edges 10' on drift with small tipped jigs. Walton Reef for small schools mackerel early; on tipped jigs over chum. Same venue; bottom action mangrove, lane snapper on lindy rigs, shrimp under chum.

OFFSHORE

Mindful of sea conditions. Close in (8-10 miles southwest) reefs, barges for good action lane, mangrove snapper on tipped weighted jigs under chum. Kingfish exceptionally active wrecks 10-15 miles. On live blue runner on wire soaking under chum. Chance cobia on surface same venue; on sight cast threadfin.
