Conditions improving but slowly. As air temp stabilizes; warms water temp to late spring level 78-80 degrees. Winds still strong southeast, southwest impacting water clarity. Tides run to full moon late week; p.m. ebb racing. Finally seeing size in mangrove snapper. To 12” on shorelines Rookery Bay, Johnson, Addison Bays either tide; tight to current points on shrimp, pilchards. Work first, last hour either tide for size. Snook super active; mostly juveniles shallow current edges incoming with pilchards post shower. Still missing spring mackerel, bluefish invasion. But pompano showing early incoming Hurricane Pass with tipped jigs worked to bottom on drift. Pomps to 14-16.”

NEARSHORE

Seeing fair to good tarpon action north edge drop off Capri Channel on incoming. With cut catfish or threads. No chum avoids sharks. Snapper action good Walton Reef; best incoming working tipped weighted jigs under chum. Keep cut bait to bottom on wire for blacktips.

OFFSHORE

Yellowtail snapper on mid to deep wrecks; either tide. With tad of chum on small hook free lined into slick; bail open. Kingfish super active mid to deep wrecks working live runner on wire under chum either tide. Draws cobia on surface; take with sight cast live threadfin.
