It's one of those golf tournaments where you'll be driving on every hole, but also maybe driving home in a new Lexus.
A hole-in-one will secure the Lexus at the 24th annual golf tournament staged by the Greater Marco Family YMCA Dec. 8 at Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club.
For those who prefer slightly better odds, though, there are all sorts of prizes and perks up for grabs, including goodie bags, door prizes and swag for winning teams in assorted flights.
Hit the longest drive of the day or knock the little white ball closest to the pin on a designated hole, and you'll be rewarded too.
The tournament, a with a shotgun scramble format, starts at 8 a.m. after 7 a.m. registration, and is among the Y's biggest fundraisers of the year. All proceeds benefit the Y's financial assistance program.
The $135 per player entry fee includes a continental breakfast, lunch, kart and greens fees.
Sponsorships are also welcome to swell the coffers. They are: Title $5,000; Par $1,000; Lunch 3,500; Eagle $2,500; Shirts $2,500; Golf balls $600; Birdie $1,500, and Breakfast $500. Event sponsor is Publix Supermarkets Charities.
Hole sponsorships are $125 per hole.
Well-wishers unable to attend can make donations by contacting the Y.
